Germencik Halk Eğitimi: The center started education and training in 1982 under the name of Germencik Public Education Center. They organize educational activities and events that will improve the social, cultural and professional skills of people, increase employment opportunities and quality of life, bring local handicrafts to the economy, develop tourism, and enable the society to acquire new skills and attitudes brought by contemporary life. We can diversify the courses as Vocational and Technical Courses, General Courses, and Literacy Courses. Most of the mentioned education areas serve adult education. In addition to educational activities, the institution plans and implements many informative and inclusive activities will contribute to the vital skills of adults and strengthen social integration. In addition, the institution carries out local projects that strengthen education and gain new methods and techniques within the accordance of its vision and mission.
Previform - Laboratório, Formação, Higiene e Segurança do Trabalho, Lda: PREVIFORM, Lda. is a Portuguese Adult Training Center established in 2005, accredited by the Portuguese Government. Our mission is to give attention to innovative training methods, validation and assessing the learning outcomes. PREVIFORM has a wide range of experience in the area of adult training in almost all modalities, as well as a vast experience in providing consulting in areas that specialize in Food Safety and Hygiene field and Nutrition. The company is continually searching for the best investments and strategies to increase their human and technical resources, with expertise in the area of Occupational Health and Safety and Health at Food. PREVIFORM provides vocational training at various European levels II, III, V. Currently these levels of training are offered through the following modalities: Certified Training; Continuous Training; Specialized Technological Training Courses. Future Focus Ltd: Future Focus is an adult training centre located in the beautiful garden city of Floriana, just 7 minutes away from the baroque capital city of Valletta. It has been delivering training for the past 20 years and its main focus is to train people in the vocational and manufacturing sectors, whilst also creating bespoke training courses to suit the customers’ needs. It is licenced by the National Commission for Further and Higher Education. At Future Focus we strive to deliver a great experience for our students by providing a fun learning environment. We try to source the best possible lecturers; those that not only have academic qualifications but also practical experience in the fields in which they are training. We are also constantly investing in our premises, IT equipment and other resources. CEPA Son Canals: CEPA Son Canals is an Adult Education School that provides formal and informal education as well as distance learning for students aged 18+. The school had nearly 1,500 students registered during the 2016-2017 school year. CEPA Son Canals is the oldest adult educational school in the Balearic Islands and one of the oldest in Spain. The school is located in a disadvantaged area that houses many immigrants from North Africa, South America and Eastern Europe. Son Canals organizes informal education courses stressing IT teaching; and English, Spanish and Catalan language courses for immigrants. The regional government’s decision to build an Adult Education School in this area was based on the idea of eradicating illiteracy. In recent years, the school has organized many multicultural activities to promote immigrant integration and to teach the Balearics’ two official languages (Spanish and Catalan): seminars, workshops and festivals, etc. The school’s neighbourhood is considered to be one of Spain’s most at-risk neighbourhoods, as stated in a Ministerio de Fomento (Ministry of Public Works) list. From 2004 to 2012, the neighbourhood’s immigrant population increased from 5,134 to 10,311 people: it has literally doubled. These figures continue to increase despite the current recession. According to the 2012 census, 37%of the neighbourhood’s inhabitants were immigrants and 31.1% were non-European. The immigrant women target groups of Ecoculture project will be formed mainly by North-African and South- American women.
